Your guide will pick you at Hualien cruise port, the guide and driver will pick up and escort you to one of the most majestic places in the world when mentioned about Taiwan, Tarako. Taroko Gorge, sometimes called the Taiwanese Grand Canyon, is the premier scenic attraction in Taiwan, along with Alishan and Sun Moon Lake. It tops the list of worth-visit places to visit in Taiwan if you want to experience dramatic nature on a short, easy-to-plan trip from the capital.

We next visit the Tunnel of Nine Turns (or called Jiuqudong), which is considered one of the most scenic landscapes of Taroko Gorge. It meanders high along the mountains, where you can experience an impressive view of the Liwu River from an imposing height.

Continues to the next highlight, Swallow Grotto, the best place to see the Taroko Gorge inside the national park. Swallow Grotto stays near the middle of the park and located just after Buluowan. The walls on each side of the river contain caves is the place to form the natural nesting places for spring swallow birds, bringing life to the area nearby the roaring river, and that is why the locals call it Swallow Grotto.

Next, we will visit Eternal Shrine before an exciting Shakaden Hiking Trail. The location of Eternal Shrine recessed into the side of the mountain and Tang Dynasty architectural style makes this shrine became one of the most renowned scenic spots in Taroko National Park.
Shakadang Trail is the last stop of your Hualien tour from cruise port and very easy to find. The signs are well posted and you can park your scooter or car just past the bridge after the first tunnel. Starting down the trail it's easy to see how magnificent Taroko is; crystal clear water flows past gigantic boulders in a rainbow of blues and grays.
